The Oaks

The Courses

This highly exclusive club has two excellent 18 hole courses. The Heron Course was recently redone and focuses on an enjoyable playing experience. The fairways are very narrow, and the greens are large, fast, and have some undulation to them. There are many sand bunkers throughout the course, and water hazards come into play on most holes. The Eagle Course has plush fairways. Water comes into play several times, and the terrain is relatively flat. Designed by Arthur Hills, eight different tee sets offer the golf experience desired for any player. Residents are required to join the club, and while some associate memberships are available, there is a waiting list.

The Homes

Among the most dramatic homes in Sarasota are those found in The Oaks. Many of Georgian design, homes here are complemented by an idyllic setting with statuesque trees.
